We check our own numbers against NASA's before we ever show them to you.

Every chart on Fishpole runs on Orrery, the calculation engine we built ourselves. We did not license or repackage anyone else's astrology software. We built it from the JPL DE440 planetary ephemeris, the same NASA dataset used for real spacecraft navigation, and we check its output against JPL Horizons, the space agency's own reference system. Across the planets, our positions land within about 0.004 to 0.005 arcseconds of Horizons, a gap so small it has no bearing on what a chart tells you.

That check is not a one-time claim we made and moved on from. The engine carries its own regression suite that reruns the Horizons comparison, and the data behind features like the Venus Star Point wheel is covered by its own automated tests that catch a bad value before it ever reaches your chart. We would rather find a mistake ourselves than have you find it first.

The care does not stop at the math. We run this enterprise on the three permaculture ethics: earth care, people care, and fair share. Fair share is why we price on a sliding scale instead of one fixed number. If money is tight right now, you pay less.
